• Description:

  KEY FEATURES: • Amine reactive Sulfo-NHS ester that crosslinks efficiently with primary amine-containing molecules • Has a maleimide functional group that can be utilized to react specifically with cysteines or sulfhydryl (-SH) groups • Water-soluble; can be used under physiologic conditions • Has a spacer arm length of 8.3 Å (9 atom) • Unlike other maleimide-activated antibodies, those made with Sulfo-SMCC crosslinkers are often more stable, due to the inductive stabilizing effects of the cyclohexyl ring moeity APPLICATIONS: • Routinely used to prepare hapten-carrier protein and antibody-enzyme conjugates, such as HRP conjugation. • Wide range of uses for both small molecule reactions and large biomolecule applications.
