Long description
Confirmed by immunoelectrophoresis using antisera to human immunoglobulins. Not less than 98% as determined by immunoelectrophoresis. Tested in a concentration of 18 mg/ml at the level of sensitivity of the applied immunoprecipitating techniques, this product contains traces of albumin. Purified human IgE may be used as a reference antigen, calibrator, coating protein in a variety of immunoassays including immunodiffusion, immunoelectrophoresis, ELISA, Western blotting, dotimmunobinding assays (DIBA).

Storage
This product is shipped lyophilized at ambient temperature. After arrival store at +4°C. Prolonged storage may be at -20°C. After opening the vial, the lyophilized content is reconstituted by adding 0.25 ml of sterile distilled water, mixed gently by inversion until complete dissolution is obtained. Allow to stand at ambient temperature for 5-10 minutes to reach equilibrium. Reconstituted solution may be stored frozen. Working dilutions may be prepared by adding the required amount of phosphate buffered saline (PBS), should not be refrozen and preferably used within 24 hours. Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation and will not affect the performance of the product. Lyophilized at +4°C--at least 10 years. Reconstituted at or below -20°C--3-5 years. Reconstituted at +4°C--7 days.

Properties
Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples. Immunoglobulin E (IgE) kappa or Fc specific antibody is a kind of antibody (or immunoglobulin (Ig) "isotype") that has only been found in mammals. IgE is synthesized by plasma cells. Monomers of IgE consist of two heavy chains (ε chain) and two light chains, with the ε chain containing 4 Ig-like constant domains (Cε1-Cε4). IgEs play a role in allergy and response to parasite infection. High levels of IgEs caused by parasites can lower the allergic reaction of patients to allergens common present in the human environment. As such the parasite history of an allergic patient needs to be taken in consideration as a positive factor.
