SpecificityThis item specifically recognises AMPK alpha 2, otherwise known as PRKAA2, a Serine/threonine-protein kinase and the catalytic subunit of the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), a central metabolic sensor, essential for the regulation of fatty acid and cholesterol synthesis, in response to fluctuations in nutrient and intracellular energy levels. AMPK has been implicated as a suppressor of cell proliferation of both normal and malignant cells, and recent studies have shown that the binding of AMPK to the PS domain of ULK1, is essential for ULK1-mediated autophagy, and that the phosphorylation of raptor by AMPK, plays an important role in autophagy induction.

Storage_stabilityStore at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.

Tested_applicationELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB)
-
DescriptionThe GOAT ANTI AMPK ALPHA 2 is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood. This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody against the Hu protein or peptide or recombinant supplied in 1 volumes. Ask for quote if you need bulk.

Latin nameCapra aegagrus hircus
-
PropertiesHuman proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.

-
HostGoat, The goat polyclonal antibodies are directed against human genes or rabbit or mouse IgGs (H +L) chain primary antibodies and conjugated for detection. It are very good secondary antibodies that are affinity purified and have a good affinity themselves too. Often KLH is coupled to the antigen so anti KLH can be present in the vial.
