Gene infoInterleukin 1 alpha is synthesized as a 31 kDa promolecule that does not contain a signal sequence. Following proteolytic cleavage, the mature 17 kDa molecule is released as a result of cell injury or apoptosis. IL-1 alpha stimulates bone osteoclast activity, has a role in the modulation of extracellular fluid calcium homeostasis and apoptosis, activates T and B lymphocytes and NK cells, and functions in development. Movement of the IL-1 alpha promolecule to the nucleus in response to endotoxin where it augments transcription of proinflammatory genes has also been documented.

DescriptionThe anti-IL-1 alpha Antibody, Monoclonal is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood. This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody for research use.
-
PropertiesIf you buy Antibodies supplied by proscience they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
-
GeneThe Interleukin-1 family (IL-1 family) is a group of 11 cytokines, which plays a central role in the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses to infections or sterile insults. Rec. E. coli interleukin-1 for cell culture or antibody production.
-
AboutMonoclonals of this antigen are available in different clones. Each murine monoclonal anibody has his own affinity specific for the clone. Mouse monoclonal antibodies are purified protein A or G and can be conjugated to FITC for flow cytometry or FACS and can be of different isotypes.
