Recombinant Mouse IL25
- Description: IL-25 (also known as IL- 17E), a member of the IL-17 family, has been implicated in Th2 cell-mediated immunity. Recently, IL-25 has been identified as one of the initiators of the Th2 response (10, 11) and has also been shown to be expressed by mast cells. The transgenic overexpression of IL-25 by lung epithelial cells results in mucus hyperproduction and airway infiltration of macrophages and eosinophils; conversely, IL-25 blockade reduced airway inflammation and Th2 cytokine production in an allergen-induced asthma model.
- CAS Number: 9000-83-3
- Gene Name: IL25
- Gene Aliases: UPF0556 protein, IL-25, Stromal cell-derived growth factor SF20, D17Wsu104e, Il25
Recombinant Mouse Interleukin-25 (IL25) - Gene ID: 140806
- Accession Number: Q9CPT4
- Organism: Mouse
- Source: E. coli
- Concentration: <1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method
- Purity: >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE
- Solubility: A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
- Function: The ED(50) was determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells and was found to be <0.5ng/mL.
