• Description :

  Galbinic acid (α-Acetylsalazinic acid), a lichen acid, shows antibacterial activities against the Gram-positive bacteria B. cereus, B. subtilis, and S. aureus (MICs=62.5, 62.5, 250 μg/ml, respectively) . Galbinic acid inhibits the Gram-negative bacterium E. coli (MIC=125 μg/ml) [1][2].
