Background
The IKKβ (inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa B kinase subunit beta) is a protein subunit encoded by the IKβKβ (inhibitor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells, kinase beta) gene which activates NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa-light chain enhancer of activated B cells) signaling. NF-κB is a family of transcription factors that regulate gene expression in a variety of tissue types. Mutations in IKKB result in defective NF-κB signaling leading to immunological disorders. Exploring novel mutations in IKKB may elucidate the causation of sporadic and unexplained diseases.

The IKKβ Kinase Assay Kit is designed to measure the kinase activity of IKKβ for screening and profiling applications using Kinase-Glo®MAX as a detection reagent.
