Description
Rabbit polyclonal to HDAC7.Histone deacetylase 7 (HDAC7) is responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the Nterminalpart of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4) . Histone deacetylation serves as a tag forepigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progressionand developmental events. It is thought to be involved in muscle maturation by repressing thetranscription of myocyte enhancer factors. HDAC7 may play a role in Epstein-Barr virus latency, possibly by repressing the viral BZLF1 gene.
