Background
ZNF259, also named as Zpr1, is an evolutionarily conserved protein characterized by two C4 zinc fingers and two Zpr1-specific conserved homology domains. Zpr1 was first identified in mammalian cells as a cytoplasmic protein that was capable of binding the intracellular domain of the unactivated EGF receptor (EGFR) . The MW of this protein is 51 kDa, and this antibody specially recognises the 51 kDa protein.
