Description
DirectPCR Lysis Reagent (Ear) is a molecular biology reagent for rapid DNA preparation from mouse ear tissue for direct PCR and genotyping. The single-tube DirectPCR workflow enables preparation of PCR-compatible crude DNA lysates while reducing conventional DNA extraction and transfer steps.

What is DirectPCR Lysis Reagent (Ear) | Mouse DNA PCR Genotyping?
DirectPCR Lysis Reagent (Ear) is designed for preparation of DNA from mouse ear pieces prior to PCR-based genotyping. The reagent combines tissue lysis with a formulation intended to reduce the inhibitory effects of crude biological lysates on PCR, allowing the resulting lysate to be used as a DNA template in compatible PCR workflows.

Key Features => Designed for mouse ear tissue and ear-punch samples. => Suitable for direct PCR and genotyping. => Single-tube DNA preparation workflow => Reduces sample transfer and DNA purification steps. => Designed to produce PCR-compatible crude DNA lysates. => No organic extraction reagents required. => 50 mL format for approximately 500 mouse ear pieces. The manufacturer's current specification states 50 mL / 500 ear pieces for 0388-402-E.
Applications
PCR Genotyping => Preparation of DNA templates from mouse ear samples for genomic PCR genotyping. Mouse Genetic Screening => Useful for screening mouse colonies and identifying genotypes from ear-punch tissue. Molecular Biology Research => Suitable for research workflows requiring rapid DNA preparation from animal tissue. There is also real published-use evidence: research papers have used DirectPCR Ear reagent to lyse mouse ear tissue before PCR-based genotyping. PubMed Central PMCID : PMC11159904
