Ticarcillin monosodium is a semisynthetic, extended-spectrum, carboxypenicillin antibacterial agent, and is active against gram-positive cocci, including streptococci and staphylococci. Ticarcillin monosodium is also effective against most gram-negative organisms, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
