UNC0224 is a selective G9a Histone Methyltransferase inhibitor. G9a methylates Histone H3 lysine 9, which is required for early embryogenesis. UNC0224 inhibits G9a with an IC₅₀ of 15 nM. It also inhibits GLP, another H3K9 methyltransferase with an IC₅₀ of 20 nM.
