  Chickens were immunized with highly purified Lethal Factor A purified from Bacillus anthracis. After multiple immunizations in Freund's adjuvant, eggs were collected and the IgY purified. Anti-Bacillus anthracis Lethal Factor A was immunoaffinity purified using the immunogen immobilized on a solid support.

• Assay Principle:

  This antibody is suitable for ELISA and Western Blotting procedures. By Western blot, a 1:10,000 dilution of the IgY was an effective probe for 16 ng of Lethal Factor A. By Direct ELISA, the half-point titre was 1:38,000 dilution using a 2 µg/mL coating of Lethal Factor A. Optimal conjµgate working dilutions should be determined for your particular assay conditions.
