Description

Buffer N1 is a neutralization buffer specifically formulated to rapidly restore physiological pH following alkaline lysis with Buffer B1 during plasmid or DNA purification. It typically contains potassium acetate and acetic acid, which neutralize NaOH and precipitate denatured proteins, genomic DNA, and cellular debris while allowing plasmid DNA to remain in solution.
