Deslorelin

• Description :

  Deslorelin is a potent LHRH/GnRH agonist has a molecular formula of C64H83N17O12, Pyr-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-D-Trp-Leu-Arg-Pro-NHEt having an Mw of 1281.64 Dalton. Deslorelin is being studied in the treatment of cancer as a way to block sex hormones made by the ovaries or testicles. It belongs to the family of drugs called gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogs. It is used for the induction of ovulation in mares. Deslorelin binds to and activates pituitary gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) receptors. Continuous, prolonged administration of goserelin in males results in pituitary GnRH receptor desensitization and inhibition of pituitary secretion of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), leading to a significant decline in testosterone production; in females, prolonged administration results in a decrease in estradiol production.

• Purification :

  Greater than 99.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.

• Components :

  The Deslorelin peptide was lyophilized with no additives.

• Storage Conditions :

  Lyophilized Deslorelin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Deslorelin should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

• Applications Notes :

  It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Deslorelin in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
