Demonstration Transformer

• Description :

  For demonstrating the basic principle of operation of the transformers. Comprises a W-shaped lamited iron core mounted on base with a vertical bolt on its each side for clamping lamited I-core or armature at its top. Also included are a set of three coils – one mains primary coil 240V AC, 50HZ, 2400 turns, and two interchangeable secondary coils, 65 and 130 turns each giving outputs of about 6 and 12V respectively at a maximum current rating of 2A, with number of turns and current/voltage rating marked on each coil. Mains coil provided with a 2 core captive mains cable for input, while each secondary coil has a pair of 4mm socket termils for output. Coils wound on insulated plastic bobbin having hollow rectangular cross-section to exactly fit middle arm of the core with negligible flux leakage.
