2-Deoxy-20-hydroxyecdysone is an ecdysteroid. 2-Deoxy-20-hydroxyecdyson can be isolated from zoanthid Zoanthus sp.. 2-Deoxy-20-hydroxyecdysone exhibits lower moulting hormone activity than 20-hydroxyecdysone in Musca bioassays[1][2].
