  Iodocholine iodide is a non-toxic, metabolizable "green" catalyst capable of catalyzing the radical polymerization of functional polymers. It also serves as the non-radioactive iodide form of Carbon-11 choline. C-11 choline is employed in PET imaging and non-informative bone scintigraphy, CT, or MRI to monitor various types of cancer.
