• Bioactivity :

  S2-16 is a synthetic peptide derived from the S2 region of cardiac myosin. In Lewis rats, it acts as a cryptic epitope (cryptic epitope), which is a site not recognized by antibodies or T cells following immunization with the full antigen. This peptide is utilized in the study of mechanisms underlying autoimmune myocarditis.
