• Bioactivity :

  Pellotine is an alkaloid isolated from Lophophora. It acts as an inverse agonist of the 5-HT7 receptor (5-HT7 receptor), with an EC50 of 291 nM. Pellotine shows strong affinity for the 5-HT1DR and 5-HT6R, with Ki values of 117 nM and 170 nM, respectively. Additionally, Pellotine reduces intracellular cAMP levels, thereby decreasing neuronal excitability and neurotransmitter release.
