Sulfo-Cy3 hydrazide, a Cyanine 3 (Cy3) dye derivative, features hydrazine functionality and enhanced water solubility due to the presence of a sulfonate ion, making it ideal for aqueous solutions. Known for its fluorescence, Cy3 emits within the green to orange wavelength range. The hydrazide group enables hydrazinone coupling with aldehyde or ketone-bearing molecules, forming covalent bonds.
