Description
Poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (CAS 126213-51-2), commonly abbreviated as PEDOT, is a conjugated conducting polymer belonging to the polythiophene derivative family. It is synthesized by chemical or electrochemical polymerization of 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) monomers, with a linear conjugated molecular structure that endows it with excellent electrical conductivity, good environmental stability and biocompatibility. Poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (CAS 126213-51-2) is insoluble in most organic solvents in its pure solid form, but can be prepared into stable aqueous dispersions; it is resistant to oxidation and hydrolysis under normal conditions, and does not easily degrade. As a key conducting polymer, it is widely used in electronic materials, optoelectronic devices, biomedical materials and other high-tech fields.
