Assay Principle
Peptone, lactose provide carbon and nitrogen sources; yeast extract provides vitamins; sodium chloride to maintain osmotic equilibrium. Formulation (per liter) : Peptone 10g Lactose 10g Sodium chloride 5g Ferric citrate 1g Sodium citrate 1g Dipotassium hydrogen phosphate 2g Sodium desoxycholate 1g Agar 15g Neutral red 0.03g Final pH 7.4 ± 0.2 How to use: 1.Suspend 45g in 1L of distilled water , stirring heated to boiling until completely dissolved, distribute into flask. Do not autoclave, cool to 50°C and pour into sterile petri dishes. 2.Diluted and treated samples.
Storage Conditions
Keep container tightly closed, store in a cool, dry place, away from bright light. Storage period of 3 years.
Recommended Usage
For the enumeration of coliform in water.
