IGF-BP2 Recombinant Protein
Background:
IGF-BPs controls the distribution, function and activity of IGFs in various cell tissues and body fluids. Currently there are seven named IGF-BPs that form high affinity complexes with both IGF-I and IGF-II. IGF-BP2 is a cysteine-rich secreted protein produced by bone cells, and is most abundant in the brain. IGF-BP2 has been shown to inhibit IGF-II action in human breast and ovarian carcinoma cells. Recombinant human IGF-BP2 is a 31.5 kDa protein consisting of 289 amino acid residues including the IGF-BP domain and thyroglobulin type-I domain.NCBI Gene ID:

The lyophilized IGF-BP2 recombinant protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20˚ C. Reconstituted IGF-BP2 is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20˚ C. As with any protein, exposing IGF-BP2 recombinant protein to repeated freeze / thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature.NCBI Official Name:
