C12FDGlcU is a cell-permeable, lipophilic substrate for β-glucuronidase (GUS) . Upon enzymatic cleavage, it releases a fluorescent fluorescein derivative (Abs/Em 495/518 nm), enabling sensitive detection of GUS reporter gene activity in both live-cell imaging and in vivo model systems.
