C3d is a component of complement. Cell-bound C3b may undergo limited proteolysis to release the fragment C3c and retain C3d on the membrane. The protein is isolated and purified from pooled normal human serum by precipitation techniques, followed by chromatographical methods. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole serum. No preservative added. Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of normal pooled goat serum. No foreign proteins added.
Storage Conditions
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
