Chondramide A is a chondramide that is chondramide C in which the pro-S hydrogen at position 2 of the beta-tyrosine residue is replaced by a methoxy group. It is produced by strains of the myxobacterium, Chondromyces crocatus. It has a role as an antineoplastic agent and a bacterial metabolite. It is a member of indoles, a member of phenols and a chondramide.
