This nitrobenzofurazan-derived small molecule, H2S probe 1 (1NND), is a potent cytotoxic agent against MIA PaCa-2 pancreatic cancer cells (IC50 = 77.9 nM) and a high-affinity binder of the human telomeric G-quadruplex (Kd = 1.72 μM) . It serves as a valuable chemical tool for investigating cancer biology and G-quadruplex-targeted therapeutics in vitro.
