Sphingolactone-24 (50 μM) suppresses LPS-induced p38 MAPK phosphorylation and its associated anti-apoptotic activity in a 30-minute pretreatment followed by 24-hour co-incubation model. This small molecule inhibitor is a valuable research tool for studying inflammatory signaling and apoptosis regulation in cellular models of innate immunity.
