Description
Trehalose 6,6'-dimycolate (Cord Factor) is a key virulence glycolipid from M. tuberculosis that induces inflammatory granulomas and shields the bacillus within macrophages. It is widely used in research to model tuberculosis pathology and study host immune evasion mechanisms, both in vitro and in vivo.
