Description
Fosmidomycin is an oral antibiotic that inhibits the DOXP reductoisomerase enzyme, exhibiting antimalarial activity against P. falciparum strains like 3D7 and Dd2. It shows synergistic effects with clindamycin and has demonstrated efficacy in both in vitro assays and in vivo mouse models of malaria.
