Description
MitoCur-1 is a mitochondrial-targeted electrophilic compound that acts as a specific inhibitor of thioredoxin reductase 2 (TrxR2) . By inhibiting this key antioxidative enzyme, it induces mitochondrial ROS generation, demonstrating antitumor activity in both cellular and animal model studies.
