4-Me-PDTic is a highly potent and selective kappa opioid receptor (KOR) antagonist, with sub-nanomolar affinity (Ke = 0.37 nM) and exceptional selectivity over mu and delta opioid receptors. Its favorable physicochemical properties and demonstrated brain penetration in rats support its utility in both in vitro binding assays and in vivo studies of KOR-mediated neurological processes.
