Description
Istaroxime (PST-2744) is a novel inotropic agent that acts by inhibiting Na+/K+ ATPase, leading to increased intracellular sodium and calcium. It further enhances cardiac contractility by sensitizing the sarcoplasmic reticulum calcium release and modulating L-type calcium channels.
