Pyronaridine tetraphosphate is an orally active mannitol adduct that inhibits DNA topoisomerase II and exhibits antimalarial, antitumor, and anti-echinococcal activity. Research applications include in vitro studies against Plasmodium falciparum and in vivo models for investigating its potential to attenuate viral infections such as Ebola.
