UNC 0631 is a potent and selective small-molecule inhibitor of the histone methyltransferase G9a (EHMT2), with an IC50 of 4 nM. It is widely used in epigenetic research to probe the role of H3K9 methylation in gene silencing, cancer biology, and cellular differentiation in both in vitro and in vivo models.
