BG47 is a photochromic small molecule probe for the chemo-optical modulation of epigenetics (COMET) . It allows precise, light-controlled inhibition of human histone deacetylases (HDACs) using visible light, enabling spatiotemporal studies of epigenetic regulation in both cellular and animal models.
