Description
PAPS is the universal sulfonate donor for all cytosolic sulfotransferase (SULT) enzymes. It is synthesized in mitochondria via sulfate activation and transported to the cytosol. This small molecule is essential for studying phase II drug metabolism, hormone regulation, and xenobiotic detoxification in both in vitro and in vivo research models.
