Description
L-threo-PPMP is a potent inhibitor of glucosylceramide synthase (GlcT, UDP-Glucose Ceramide Glucosyltransferase), blocking glycosphingolipid biosynthesis and inducing apoptosis. This mechanism underlies its anti-cancer activity, which has been investigated in both in vitro cell culture and in vivo tumor model studies for oncology research.
