Benzylacyclouridine (BAU) is an orally bioavailable, specific inhibitor of uridine phosphorylase (UrdPase) . It modulates uridine metabolism and has been shown in research to enhance the antitumor effect of 5-Fluorouracil in in vitro studies against human prostate cancer cell lines.
