Tropatepine is an orally active muscarinic anticholinergic agent used as an antiparkinsonian drug. It is applied in research to counteract neuroleptic-induced extrapyramidal symptoms and is utilized in both in vitro and in vivo studies of cholinergic neurotransmission.
