Description
This caged compound releases the active mGluR5 negative allosteric modulator raseglurant upon 405 nm violet light irradiation. It enables precise, spatiotemporal control for studying mGluR5 signaling in vitro, such as inhibiting quisqualate effects in neurons, and demonstrates light-dependent analgesic activity in vivo pain models with a quantum yield of 0.18.
