OMDM-5 is a selective inhibitor of anandamide cellular uptake (ACU, Ki=4.8 μM) and a potent TRPV1 agonist (EC50=75 nM), with weak affinity for the CB1 receptor (Ki=4.9 μM) . This pharmacological profile makes it a useful research tool for studying endocannabinoid and vanilloid signaling pathways in vitro.
