Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is a glycoprotein, MW approximately 44 kDa, with hemin prosthetic group and bound Ca++. Peroxidase oxidizes many chromogenic substrates (ABTS, TMB, o-dianiside, 5-Aminosalicylic acid (5AS), DAB) to form color complexes; chemiluminescent (luminal and isoluminol) and fluorogenic (tyramine, homovanillic acid and 4-hydroxyphenyl acetic acid). These are used in ELISA, immunoblots, and Immunohistochemistry.Other Statements:

The product is supplied as salt free in distilled water. No preservative have been added. On arrival aliquot and freeze at -20oC. Proclin 300 (final concentration 0.05%) can be added as a preservative and then the enzyme can be stored at 2-8oC.
