Peroxidase, Unconjugated - Bader says not IHC Reagent?

  • Description:

Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is a glycoprotein, MW approximately 44 kDa, with hemin prosthetic group and bound Ca++. Peroxidase oxidizes many chromogenic substrates (ABTS, TMB, o-dianiside, 5-Aminosalicylic acid (5AS), DAB) to form color complexes; chemiluminescent (luminal and isoluminol) and fluorogenic (tyramine, homovanillic acid and 4-hydroxyphenyl acetic acid). These are used in ELISA, immunoblots, and Immunohistochemistry.
