IL-28A Interleukin-28A Mouse Recombinant Protein
Description:
Recombinant Mouse Interleukin-28A produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 174 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 19.7kDa. The IL-28A is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.Synonyms:

505Form:
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.Reconstitution:
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IL-28A in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.Function:
Cytokine with antiviral, antitumour and immunomodulatory activities. Plays a critical role in the antiviral host defense, predominantly in the epithelial tissues. Acts as a ligand for the heterodimeric class II cytokine receptor composed of IL10RB and IFNLR1, and receptor engagement leads to the activation of the JAK/STAT signaling pathway resulting in the expression of IFN- stimulated genes (ISG), which mediate the antiviral state. Has a restricted receptor distribution and therefore restricted targets: is primarily active in epithelial cells and this cell type- selective action is because of the epithelial cell-specific expression of its receptor IFNLR1. Seems not to be essential for early virus-activated host defense in vaginal infection, but plays an important role in Toll-like receptor (TLR) -induced antiviral defense. Plays a significant role in the antiviral immune defense in the intestinal epithelium. Exerts an immunomodulatory effect by up-regulating MHC class I antigen expression.Shipping Conditions:
AvailableStorage Conditions:
Lyophilized IFN-Lambda 2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IFN-Lambda 2 Recombinant should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.Other Gene Names:
