Eotaxin Mouse Recombinant Protein (CCL11)

  • Description:

Eotaxin Mouse Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 74 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 8403.2 Dalton. The CCL11 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
  • Synonyms:

Small inducible cytokine A11; CCL11; Eosinophil chemotactic protein; chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 11; SCYA11
  • Gene Name:

    CCL11
  • UniProt:

    P48298
  • Reactivity:

    Mouse
  • Tissue Specificity:

Expressed constitutively in the thymus. Expression inducible in the lung (type I alveolar epithelial cells), intestine, heart, spleen, kidney.
  • Source:

    Escherichia coli
  • Sequence:

    [object Object]
  • Purification:

Greater than 95.0% as determined by (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC and (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
  • Bioactivity:

The Biological activity was determined by measuring the dose dependent phosphorylation of ERK1 and ERK2 in CCR3 transfected 293 cells. Significant ERK phosphorylation is observed with greater than 100 ng/ml (corresponding to a Specific Activity of 10,000IU/mg) of recombinant mouse eotaxin.
  • Form:

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
  • Reconstitution:

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Eotaxin in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
  • Function:

In response to the presence of allergens, this protein directly promotes the accumulation of eosinophils (a prominent feature of allergic inflammatory reactions), but not lymphocytes, macrophages or neutrophils.
  • Shipping Conditions:

    Available
  • Storage Conditions:

Lyophilized Eotaxin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CCL11 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) . Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
  • Other Gene Names:

    Eotaxin
  • Subcellular Location:

    Secreted.
