Human IL-17F/Interleukin-17F ELISA Kit PicoKine®, Carrier-free
- Background: Members of the interleukin-17 family, such as IL17F, are involved in the regulation of normal versus aberrant T-cell responses.. It is mapped to 6p12.2. The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine is expressed by activated T cells, and has been shown to stimulate the production of several other cytokines, including IL6, IL8, and CSF2/GM_CSF. This cytokine is also found to inhibit the angiogenesis of endothelial cells and induce endothelial cells to produce IL2, TGFB1/TGFB, and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1.
- Description: Human IL-17F ELISA Kit PicoKine® (96 Tests). Quantitate Human IL17F in cell culture supernatants, serum and plasma (heparin or EDTA) . Sensitivity: 10pg/ml. The brand Picokine indicates this is a premium quality ELISA kit. Each Picokine kit delivers precise quantification, high sensitivity, and excellent reproducibility. Only our most reliable and effective kits qualify as Picokine, guaranteeing top-tier results for your assays.
- Synonyms: Interleukin-17F; IL-17F; Cytokine ML-1; IL17F

- Gene ID: 112744
- UniProt: Q96PD4
- Reactivity: Human
- Cross Reactivity: There is no detectable cross-reactivity with other relevant proteins.
- Immunogen: Expression system for standard: NS0; Immunogen sequence: R31-Q163
- Tissue Specificity: Expressed in activated, but not resting, CD4+ T-cells and activated monocytes.
- Applications: ELISA
- Standard: 10 ng/tube
- Sample Type: cell culture supernatants, serum and plasma (heparin or EDTA)
- Detection Range: 62.5 pg/ml - 4,000 pg/ml
- Sensitivity: <10 pg/ml
- Function: Ligand for IL17RA and IL17RC. The heterodimer formed by IL17A and IL17F is a ligand for the heterodimeric complex formed by IL17RA and IL17RC. Involved in stimulating the production of other cytokines such as IL6, IL8 and CSF2, and in regulation of cartilage matrix turnover. Also involved in stimulating the proliferation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells and T-cells and in inhibition of angiogenesis. Plays a role in the induction of neutrophilia in the lungs and in the exacerbation of antigen-induced pulmonary allergic inflammation.
