Mouse GREM2/Prdc ELISA Kit PicoKine®, Carrier-free
- Background: GREM2, also known as PRDC, is one of several BMP antagonists that regulate the functions of BMPs during embryonic development and tissue differentiation. BMP antagonists contain cystine knots and typically form homo- and heterodimers. The CAN (cerberus and dan) subfamily of BMP antagonists, to which this gene belongs, is characterized by a C-terminal cystine knot with an eight-membered ring. The antagonistic effect of the secreted glycosylated protein encoded by this gene is likely due to its binding to BMP proteins. The PRDC gene is mapped to chromosome 1q43.
- Description: Mouse GREM2/Prdc ELISA Kit PicoKine® (96 Tests). Quantitate Mouse Grem2 in cell culture supernatants, cell lysates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Sensitivity: 10pg/ml. The brand Picokine indicates this is a premium quality ELISA kit. Each Picokine kit delivers precise quantification, high sensitivity, and excellent reproducibility. Only our most reliable and effective kits qualify as Picokine, guaranteeing top-tier results for your assays.

- Gene Name: Gremlin-2
- Gene ID: 23893
- UniProt: O88273
- Reactivity: Mouse
- Cross Reactivity: There is no detectable cross-reactivity with other relevant proteins.
- Immunogen: Expression system for standard: E.coli; Immunogen sequence: R22-Q168
- Tissue Specificity: Highly expressed in the ovary, followed by brain, spleen, colon, kidney and uterus. In ovary expressed in granulosa cells of selective early antral follicles. .
- Applications: ELISA
- Standard: 10 ng/tube
- Sample Type: cell culture supernatants, cell lysates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA).
- Detection Range: 31.2 pg/ml - 2,000 pg/ml
- Sensitivity: <10 pg/ml
- Function: Cytokine that inhibits the activity of BMP2 and BMP4 in a dose-dependent manner, and thereby modulates signaling by BMP family members. Contributes to the regulation of embryonic morphogenesis via BMP family members. Antagonizes BMP4-induced suppression of progesterone production in granulosa cells. .
