Anti-TNF alpha Antibody Picoband® (FITC Conjugate)

  • Background:

TNFα (Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha) gene encodes a multifunctional proinflammatory cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. This cytokine is mainly secreted by macrophages. It can bind to, and thus functions through its receptors TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR. This cytokine is involved in the regulation of a wide spectrum of biological processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, and coagulation. This cytokine has been implicated in a variety of diseases, including autoimmune diseases, insulin resistance, and cancer. Knockout studies in mice also suggested the neuroprotective function of this cytokine.
  • Description:

Boster Bio Anti-TNF alpha Antibody Picoband® catalog # PB9246. Tested in WB applications. This antibody reacts with Mouse. The brand Picoband indicates this is a premium antibody that guarantees superior quality, high affinity, and strong signals with minimal background in Western blot applications. Only our best-performing antibodies are designated as Picoband, ensuring unmatched performance.

    Mouse
  • Cross Reactivity:

    No cross-reactivity with other proteins
  • Immunogen:

E.coli-derived mouse TNF alpha recombinant protein (Position: L80-Q227). Mouse TNF alpha shares 79% and 95% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with human and rat TNF alpha, respectively.
  • Clonality:

    Polyclonal
  • Tissue Specificity:

Most abundant in placenta and skeletal muscle. It is also detected in the heart, lung, liver and kidney. IL15- S21AA is preferentially expressed in tissues such as testis and thymus.
  • Applications:

    WB
  • Purification:

    Immunogen affinity purified.
  • Concentration:

Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
  • Form:

    Lyophilized
  • Reconstitution:

Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
  • Function:

Cytokine that binds to TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR. It is mainly secreted by macrophages and can induce cell death of certain tumor cell lines. It is potent pyrogen causing fever by action or by stimulation of interleukin-1 secretion and is implicated in the induction of cachexia, Under certain conditions it can stimulate cell proliferation and induce cell differentiation.
  • Storage Conditions:

Store at -20℃ for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4℃ for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20℃ for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
