Description
MMP-3 Recombinant Protein
Product Name Alternative
SL-1, STMY, STR1, CHDS6, MMP-3, STMY1, Stromelysin-1, Matrix metalloproteinase-3, SL-1
UniProt
P08254
Source
E. coli
Field of Research
Immunology & Inflammation; Musculoskeletal & Connective Tissue Research
Purity
Greater than 98% by SDS-PAGE gel and HPLC analyses.Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 ng per μg (1EU/μg) .
Bioactivity
MMP-3 activity was measured by its ability to cleave a chromogenic peptide MMP-3 substrate at room temperature. At a MMP-3 concentration of 2.5 μg/mL, 50% cleavage was achieved at an incubation time of approximately 75 minutes.
Form
Lyophilized
Storage Conditions
The lyophilized MMP-3 recombinant protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20°C. Reconstituted MMP-3 is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20°C. As with any protein, exposing MMP-3 recombinant protein to repeated freeze / thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature.
